NFC Epitome 9' #5 Medium Action
Gary Loomis is very pleased with these new blanks with the 'Carbon Air' name coming from the fact that the scrim sheets are so light that they are disturbed by 'a puff of air'. The rods are very light and the blanks are of very high build quality.
This rod has a medium action, more progressive than the fast action model. The casting action is very smooth with excellent line layout.
This rod has a dark grey blank whipped with translucent gunmetal silk with gold accents. The stripper is a TiCr Mildrum and the intermediate and tip top are Snake Brand ECO universals. The reel seat is Snake Brand in dark nickel and the insert is a well-marked piece of Kingwood.
This is a top echelon rod suitable for both nymph and dry fly on larger streams, rivers and around the lake's edge for the evening rise. I highly recommend this rod.
